The Qoltec 54352 10 m LC SC Multicolour fibre optic cable is a 10-metre OM4 multimode patch cable designed for high-speed network links. It has LC connector on one end and SC connector on the other, a 50 µm core diameter, and supports full duplex optical communication. The multicolour jacket simplifies identification and cable management in racks and distribution panels while maintaining the performance characteristics required for short- to medium-distance multimode connections.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre optic cable provides low-loss multimode transmission with a 50 µm core diameter suitable for data centre and enterprise networks. The combination of LC and SC connectors offers compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment and patch panels. The 10 m length covers common inter-rack and equipment-to-equipment runs, and the multicolour jacket improves visual separation of links to reduce installation errors and speed maintenance tasks.

How to use

Identify the network devices or patch panels with matching connector types before installation. Route the 10 m OM4 cable between equipment, avoiding sharp bends and tight radii that could increase attenuation. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until each connector clicks or seats securely. Verify full duplex operation and link integrity using the network device LEDs or optical test equipment. Label both ends if additional identification is required for future maintenance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable to avoid excessive bending and tensile stress. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating to ensure optimal signal quality. For permanent or high-density installations, plan colour-coded runs and route paths to minimise strain and facilitate troubleshooting.
