Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών ProXtend SC-SC UPC OM3 Duplex 5M

The ProXtend SC-SC UPC OM3 Duplex 5M fiber optic cable is a multimode patch cable with a 50 µm (OM3) glass core and SC to SC UPC connectors. At 5 meters length it supports full-duplex data transmission over short to medium distances and is intended for high-speed, high-bandwidth network links where multimode fiber is suitable.

Advantages

The cable uses an OM3 multimode glass core for improved bandwidth and laser-optimized performance, LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer jacket for reduced toxic fumes in case of fire, and SC UPC connectors for stable, low-loss connections. It operates in a temperature range from -20 °C to 70 °C and is supplied as a duplex assembly for simultaneous transmit and receive paths.

Suitable for

• Data center horizontal and equipment interconnects
• Enterprise LAN backbone links over multimode fiber
• Short- to medium-distance high-speed links using OM3
• Fiber patch panels and switch-to-switch connections

Key specifications

• Operating temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C

How to use

Connect one SC connector to the transmitting port and the other to the receiving port on the devices or patch panels, ensuring correct polarity for full-duplex operation. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fiber. Clean connector endfaces before making connections to minimize insertion loss and ensure reliable performance.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 duplex SC-SC cable for short- to medium-distance high-speed multimode links, in structured cabling and data center patching. Store and route the cable to prevent tight bends and protect connector ferrules; use dust caps when connectors are not in use.
