Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand ShiverPeaks 77907/4 20 m

The ShiverPeaks 77907/4 is a 20 m OM4 fibre optic cable with ST connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for high-bandwidth applications, this fibre cable supports full duplex communication suitable for InfiniBand environments, providing low attenuation and consistent signal quality over medium distances.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable delivers high data transmission capacity and compatibility with InfiniBand equipment that use ST terminations. The 50 µm core ensures multimode performance optimized for short- to medium-range links, while the 20 m length accommodates flexible routing in rack and data centre layouts. The full duplex configuration enables simultaneous bidirectional data flow, reducing latency in clustered and high-performance computing setups.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand links in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between switches, routers, and storage arrays
• High-performance computing clusters and rack-to-rack connections
• Network test setups, lab environments, and temporary cabling

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST on both ends
• Configuration: full duplex
• Length: 20 m
• Typical use range: short to medium distances for high-bandwidth links

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the ST connectors into the corresponding ST ports on your InfiniBand modules or networking equipment until they click or seat firmly. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for OM4 multimode fibre to prevent increased attenuation. Ensure connector end-faces are clean before connection to maintain signal integrity. For full duplex operation, connect each fibre according to the transmit/receive orientation required by your devices.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a clean, dry environment. Regularly inspect and, if necessary, clean connector end-faces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-power electrical lines to reduce potential interference in adjacent equipment. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or trays and respect bend radius and tensile load limits.
