Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών Helos 3m OS2 LC/ST

The Helos 3m OS2 LC/ST fibre optic cable is a 3-metre duplex patch cable designed for single-mode networks that require low-loss, high-speed optical connections. It uses an OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter and terminated with LC and ST connectors to provide broad device compatibility. The cable supports full duplex transmission and is intended for indoor and controlled-environment use where precise, low-attenuation links are needed.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers low insertion loss and high return loss consistent with OS2 single-mode performance, enabling stable long-distance and high-bandwidth connections. The LC connector offers a compact form factor for dense patch panels, while the ST connector provides a bayonet-style connection common in legacy and industrial equipment. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management for equipment racks, network switches, and telecommunication panels. The construction focuses on consistent optical performance and reliable connector mating.

Suitable for

• Connecting single-mode network equipment in data centres and server rooms
• Linking optical transceivers, switches and routers with LC and ST ports
• Telecommunication racks and patch panels requiring full duplex fibre links
• Laboratory test setups and controlled-environment installations

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Configuration: full duplex (duplex patch cable)
• Length: 3 metres
• Connectors: LC on one end, ST on the other end
• Typical use: indoor, controlled-environment optical links

How to use

Identify the LC and ST ports on your devices and route the 3 m cable without sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius for single-mode fibre. Insert the LC connector into the LC adaptor or port until it clicks, and insert the ST connector with the bayonet coupling, twisting to lock. Ensure connectors are clean before insertion by using appropriate fibre cleaning tools to avoid optical performance degradation. For duplex operation, confirm transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) alignment between both ends of the link.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled loosely and protected from crushing or kinking. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use and perform periodic inspection and cleaning of connector endfaces. For permanent or outdoor deployments, select cables and assemblies specified for those environments rather than indoor patch cables.
