The BlueOptics CAB-SMF-LC-LC-7.5-BO is a 7.5 m single-mode fibre optic patch cable with G.657.A1 fibre and LC connectors on both ends. Designed for datacentre and enterprise environments, this LC–LC cable supports high-speed optical data transmission with low attenuation and good return loss characteristics. The cable features an LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) outer jacket and is suitable for confined spaces where reduced smoke and halogen-free behaviour is required.

Advantages

This BlueOptics LC–LC G.657.A1 cable offers laser-optimized single-mode fibre for consistent signal quality, low insertion loss and high return loss. Connectors use high-precision zirconia ferrules for long-term reliability and a rated mating cycle life consistent with professional deployments. The LSZH sheath reduces smoke and halogen release in the event of a fire and the cable is factory-tested using interferometry and OTDR with documented input loss and return loss measurements.

How to use

Connect one LC connector to the optical transceiver or patch panel port and the other LC connector to the corresponding port at the opposite end. Ensure connectors are clean and free of dust before mating to minimise insertion loss and avoid damage to transceiver optics. Route the cable following bend-radius recommendations for G.657.A1 fibre, avoid sharp kinks and secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent stress on connectors and fibre.

Recommendations

Maintain connector cleanliness by using a fibre cleaning tool or lint-free wipes with isopropyl alcohol. Observe a minimum bend radius consistent with G.657.A1 specifications and avoid repeated tight bends. Store and handle the cable in a way that prevents strain on the connectors; replace if endface damage or excessive loss is observed.
