The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable ST/ST 50/125µm OM3 0.5m is a multimode duplex fiber patch cable with ST connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full-duplex data transmission, the OM3 specification supports high bandwidth and is suitable for short to medium distance connections in networking and data center environments.

Advantages

This 0.5 m duplex cable provides two-fiber communication with standardized ST connectors for reliable mating and low insertion loss. OM3 multimode fiber offers improved bandwidth for 10 Gbps applications up to approximately 300 meters and delivers consistent optical performance for patching and equipment interconnects.

Suitable for

• Linking network devices in data centers and server rooms
• Patch panels and fiber distribution frames
• Interconnecting switches, routers and transceivers supporting ST connectors
• Short- to medium-range multimode optical links up to OM3 rated distances

How to use

Ensure equipment is powered down or follows hot-swap procedures before connecting. Align the ST connector bayonet and engage with a quarter-turn to secure the connection at each end. Use the duplex cable to connect matching ST ports on networking devices, patch panels or transceivers. Avoid tight bends and protect the cable from strain or crushing to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools and inspect connections with a fiber scope if available. Store and route the cable to respect minimum bend radius and avoid excessive tensile load.
