The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable LC/ST 50/125µm OM3 7.5m is a multimode duplex fiber cable designed for OM3 networks. It combines LC and ST connectors to provide reliable full-duplex optical transmission over a 50 µm core diameter glass fiber. The 7.5 meter length balances reach and flexibility for connecting switches, transceivers and active equipment in data centers, server rooms and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This duplex fiber cable supports OM3 multimode performance characteristics, enabling higher bandwidth and optimized transmission for short to medium distances. The use of LC and ST connectors allows compatibility with a wide range of networking devices and transceivers. The 50/125 µm core/cladding ratio provides consistent modal properties and low insertion loss when installed according to standard procedures. The cable's length and duplex construction simplify point-to-point connections and reduce the need for additional patching adapters.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network switches and routers in data centers
• Linking SFP/SFP+ multimode transceivers to patch panels
• Structured cabling between cabinets and equipment racks
• Short to medium distance multimode fiber links in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector end A: LC duplex
• Connector end B: ST
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Cable length: 7.5 m
• Typical application: Multimode optical data transmission

How to use

Inspect both connectors for cleanliness and remove dust caps before connecting. Align the LC duplex connector with the corresponding LC port and insert until it clicks; align the ST connector with the ST port and insert with a quarter-turn or push-and-twist depending on the connector design. Ensure cable routing avoids tight bends below the minimum bend radius and secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors. Verify link status on connected devices and perform an optical loss or link test if required.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 50/125 µm duplex cable for short to medium multimode links where LC and ST connectivity is required. Keep connectors covered when not in use, clean them with appropriate fiber cleaning tools, and avoid excessive bending or tension to maintain optimal optical performance and longevity.
