The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable LC/SC InLine 50/125µm OM3 0.5m is a short OM3 multimode patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission and full duplex connections between network devices. The cable pairs an LC connector on one end with an SC connector on the other, and uses 50/125µm fiber geometry optimized for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other multimode applications in structured cabling and data centre environments.

Advantages

This OM3 duplex cable offers low insertion loss and controlled return loss consistent with multimode OM3 performance, enabling reliable short-reach high-bandwidth links. Its LC and SC connector combination provides compatibility with a wide range of transceivers, patch panels and active equipment. The 0.5 m length reduces excess cable slack in dense rack layouts and minimizes signal attenuation and installation clutter.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet patching in data centers and server rooms
• Short-reach multimode connections between switches, transceivers and patch panels
• Telecom racks and structured cabling where LC-to-SC interface is required

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Configuration: Duplex (two fibers)
• Connectors: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Typical applications: Short-range high-bandwidth links (multimode)
• Polish/finish: Factory-terminated, ceramic ferrules (standard multimode polish)

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before insertion and, if necessary, clean with a suitable fiber cleaning tool or lint-free swab and isopropyl alcohol. Insert the LC connector into the device or adapter keyed slot and engage the SC connector into its adapter until it clicks or seats firmly. Maintain appropriate bend radius for multimode fiber during routing and avoid sharp bends. For duplex links observe transmit/receive orientation when connecting transceivers to ensure correct full duplex operation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment. Use fiber dust caps on unused connectors and avoid exposing endfaces to contaminants. For optimal performance in 10 Gigabit Ethernet links, use OM3-compliant patch panels and transceivers and keep cable runs within recommended multimode distance limits for the chosen application.
