The VALUE 21.99.0884 Grey 300m Cat6a S/FTP is a 300-meter networking cable engineered to meet Cat6a performance requirements. Designed with S/FTP shielding (overall braid with individually foil‑shielded pairs), the cable supports high-speed data transmission and improved immunity to electromagnetic interference. The grey outer sheath provides a neutral appearance suitable for structured cabling in commercial and residential environments.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable provides enhanced bandwidth capacity compared with lower category cables and is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications over typical installation lengths. The combination of an overall braid and foil-shielded pairs reduces crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity in dense cable runs or near equipment that generates electromagnetic noise. A 300 m drum length minimizes joins and simplifies bulk installation for patch panels, server rooms, and horizontal cabling.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet and high-bandwidth LAN backbones
• Data centers, server rooms and network cabinets
• Office and commercial structured cabling installations
• Home networks requiring future-proofed, shielded connections

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented performance for 10Gb/s)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield plus individually foil-shielded pairs
• Length: 300 meters on drum
• Conductor type: typically stranded or solid copper cores suitable for patching or permanent link installations (confirm type before termination)
• Outer sheath color: grey
• Suitable frequency range: up to 500 MHz for Cat6a performance

How to use

Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices. Route the cable from distribution points to endpoints avoiding sharp bends and excessive pulling tension. Terminate each pair using compatible Cat6a connectors or keystone jacks, and ensure shield continuity by connecting the overall braid to earth at the appropriate grounding point. When creating permanent links or patch cords, follow manufacturer guidance for conductor type and termination tooling to maintain category performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, separate shielded cable runs from unshielded power cabling and maintain recommended bend radii and installation distances from noise sources. Test installed links with a Cat6a-capable cable tester to verify performance and continuity before putting the network into service.
