Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 5m

The ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 5m networking cable is a 5-meter unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) Ethernet cable designed for high-speed LAN connections. Featuring Cat 6 performance, the cable supports gigabit data rates and low signal interference over short to medium runs. The cable is fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent conductivity and reduced corrosion. Its red jacket provides a clear visual identifier for organized cable management in home, office, or studio networks.

Advantages

This Cat 6 U/UTP cable delivers reliable data transfer suitable for gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, with gold-plated RJ-45 contacts for improved electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The 5 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices without excess cable clutter, and the red outer sheath aids quick identification among multiple cables. The U/UTP construction balances performance and cost for typical LAN installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches, routers and network printers within offices or homes
• Patch connections in small server rooms and network racks
• Gaming consoles and media players requiring stable wired connections
• Temporary or semi-permanent installations where a visible cable color simplifies management

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 (Category 6) performance for up to 1 Gbps Ethernet over typical distances
• Cable type: U/UTP (Unshielded overall, twisted pairs unshielded)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connectors: RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts
• Conductor: 4 twisted pairs, copper conductors
• Jacket color: red
• Typical impedance: 100 ohm (standard for twisted-pair Ethernet)

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plug into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks to establish a secure connection. Use the cable to connect computers, routers, switches, game consoles, or networked media devices to a local network or internet gateway. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and do not pinch the cable under heavy objects to maintain signal quality. For rack or patch panel installations, route the cable neatly and secure it with cable ties or organizers to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the cable length within recommended limits for Cat 6 installations and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Inspect the gold-plated contacts before use and replace the cable if the jacket shows damage to ensure continued reliable connectivity.
