Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks S/FTP Cat.6 PIMF 0,5m

The ShiverPeaks S/FTP Cat.6 networking cable 0.5m provides a short, shielded connection for high-speed Ethernet links. Constructed to Cat.6 performance standards with S/FTP (shielded foil around each pair plus an overall braid), the cable reduces crosstalk and external interference for reliable data transmission. It comes with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors and a white jacket that fits discreetly into home and office environments.

Advantages

Shielding on each twisted pair plus an overall braided shield improves signal integrity and reduces electromagnetic interference in environments with other cabling or electronic equipment. The Cat.6 specification supports higher bandwidth and lower pair-to-pair interference compared with lower categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs offer consistent contact quality and corrosion resistance for stable connections. The short 0.5m length minimizes excess cable clutter where devices are close together.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop PC or laptop to a nearby switch or wall outlet
• Linking networking equipment in rack or shelf setups where short patch leads are needed
• High-speed LAN connections for streaming, video calls, and file transfers within short distances
• Environments with potential EMI where S/FTP shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.6
• Shielding: S/FTP — foil around each pair plus overall braided shield
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Color: White outer jacket

How to use

Plug one gold-plated RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into a compatible port on a switch, router, modem, or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure physical connection. For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and maintain gentle cable bends with a radius suitable for the cable diameter. Use the 0.5m length where devices are close to each other to reduce excess slack.

Recommendations

For best results, use this shielded Cat.6 cable in networks requiring reduced interference, such as near power supplies or dense cable bundles. Verify that connected equipment supports Cat.6 performance to achieve expected throughput. Avoid running long parallel runs with power cables even though shielding reduces EMI susceptibility.
