Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks S-Conn Cat.5e F/UTP, 5 m, γκρι

Shielded F/UTP S-Conn network cable by ShiverPeaks, category 5e, 5 metres long in grey. This cable is intended for Ethernet and LAN connections and supports Cat5e performance levels for typical network speeds up to 100 Mbps and—depending on connected equipment—up to 1 Gbps. The overall foil shielding (F/UTP) reduces external electromagnetic interference, and the flexible outer jacket simplifies routing in patch panels, racks and behind furniture. Cable ends are supplied in standard unassembled form suitable for installation in patch cords, keystone jacks or pre-terminated assemblies.

Advantages

The F/UTP construction provides improved protection against EMI compared with unshielded cables while remaining cost-effective for office and home networks. The Cat.5e specification ensures compatibility with common Ethernet standards used in small business and residential environments. The 5 m length offers a practical balance between reach and cable management for patching between switches, routers, wall outlets and network devices. The flexible grey jacket is resistant to kinking and simplifies installation in confined spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and network printers in office or home LANs
• Patching between wall outlets and network equipment
• Use in server rooms and rack-mounted patch panels where foil shielding is required
• Temporary or permanent Ethernet links within apartments, offices and meeting rooms

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.5e performance
• Shielding: overall foil shield (F/UTP)
• Length: 5 metres
• Colour: grey
• Jacket: flexible PVC outer sheath suitable for indoor installations
• Typical supported speeds: up to 100 Mbps; up to 1 Gbps depending on equipment and installation

How to use

Strip the outer jacket to the required length and terminate according to the chosen connector or keystone jack specifications, observing correct pair alignment and twist preservation. Where foil shielding is present, ensure the shield is connected to the equipment earth or chassis ground as recommended by the termination hardware manufacturer. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and maintain appropriate separation from strong electromagnetic sources to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable in environments where the foil shield can be properly grounded and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Choose Cat.6 or higher where future-proofing for sustained multi-gigabit links is required.
