Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 20m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP networking cable, 20 metres long and finished in grey, is designed for high-speed wired connections in home and office networks. The cable uses S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair) construction and comes with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to support reliable gigabit data transmission and reduce electromagnetic interference. Its length and shielding make it suitable for connecting switches, routers, desktops, NAS devices and other Ethernet-enabled equipment where signal integrity matters.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braid shield with individual foil shields around each twisted pair, improving protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic disturbances. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide lower contact resistance and corrosion resistance for consistent performance over time. The 20 m length offers flexibility for routing in larger rooms without additional couplers, while the grey jacket provides a neutral appearance that integrates with most installations.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and computers
• Wired connections for home entertainment systems and smart TVs
• Networked storage devices (NAS) and backup systems
• Office workstations, VoIP phones and IP cameras
• Structured cabling runs where shielded cable is preferred to reduce interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil around each pair)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 20 metres
• Colour: Grey
• Suitable data rates: up to 1 Gbps over typical cabling distances for Cat6
• Conductor type: twisted pairs (copper)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or network device and the other connector into the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and avoid running it in parallel and close proximity to mains power cables to minimise potential interference. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable clips or cable management to secure the cable and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors, maintain the manufacturer's recommended bend radius, and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use shielded terminations and properly grounded equipment in installations where interference is a concern.
