Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks Cat 8.1 S/FTP χωρίς αλογόνα, 1,0 m

The Network cable ShiverPeaks Cat 8.1 S/FTP halogen-free, 1.0 m is a short, shielded Ethernet patch cable engineered for high-frequency, high-speed connections in data centers, server racks and professional network environments. The S/FTP construction combines pair-level foil shielding with an overall braided shield to minimize crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, while the halogen-free jacket reduces toxic emissions in case of fire. This 1.0 m cable supports Cat 8.1 performance for reliable transmission on short runs between switches, patch panels and servers.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP design provides strong protection against alien crosstalk and external EMI, improving signal integrity at high frequencies. The halogen-free outer jacket enhances safety in enclosed spaces by limiting hazardous smoke and corrosive gases. A compact 1.0 m length reduces cable clutter in rack-mounted setups and helps maintain proper cable management and airflow. The cable is suitable for professional installations that require Cat 8.1 performance on short links.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches and patch panels in data centers
• Server-to-switch links within rack cabinets
• High-density rack cabling requiring low-emission materials
• Environments where reduced EMI and crosstalk are important

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 8.1
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual pair foil + overall braid)
• Jacket material: halogen-free compound
• Length: 1.0 m
• Connector type: RJ45 compatible (shielded)
• Typical use: short-range, high-frequency Ethernet links

How to use

Connect the shielded RJ45 plugs to corresponding shielded ports on switches, patch panels or servers to maintain the continuity of the cable shielding. Use the 1.0 m length for short, direct patch connections inside racks or cabinets to minimize excess cable. Avoid sharp bends and keep the cable within manufacturer-recommended bend radius to preserve signal performance. When installing in dense environments, ensure connectors are fully seated and shielding tabs or screws (if present) are properly grounded at patch panels or chassis to benefit from the full EMI protection.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat 8.1 S/FTP cable only for short runs up to the application’s supported link length, keep slack to a minimum in rack layouts, and pair with shielded patch panels and switches that provide proper grounding to maintain the shield continuity and minimize interference.
