Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF – 08-64023, καλώδιο Ethernet Twisted-Pair

ShiverPeaks Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF twisted pair Ethernet cable is a shielded network cable designed for Gigabit Ethernet connections in structured cabling systems. The S/FTP construction provides individual foil shielding around each twisted pair and an overall braided shield to reduce alien crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable data transmission for office networks, server rooms and patch panels.

Advantages

The cable combines individually foil‑shielded pairs with an overall braided shield (PIMF) to deliver improved signal integrity and lower susceptibility to external interference compared with unshielded cables. Its Cat 6 performance supports high data rates and consistent latency for typical Gigabit applications. The stranded/tight‑twist geometry reduces near‑end crosstalk, while durable outer jacket materials provide mechanical protection for frequent handling and installation in patching environments.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet links between switches, routers and servers
• Connections in patch panels and structured cabling environments
• Office LAN installations and data center rack patching
• Environments with elevated electromagnetic interference where shielding is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 performance suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP – foil around each pair plus overall braided shield
• Conductor arrangement: four twisted pairs
• Typical impedance: 100 Ω (industry standard for Ethernet twisted pair)
• Jacket: durable outer sheath suitable for horizontal and patching use
• Connector orientation: available in straight and angled variants for flexible patching (length dependent)

How to use

Install the cable by routing it through cable management pathways and terminating it on compatible RJ45 ports on switches, routers, patch panels or end devices. Ensure the cable jacket is stripped carefully to preserve the pair foil shielding when making terminations or attaching connectors. Maintain standard bend radius recommendations and avoid tight kinks to preserve signal performance. For installations in mixed environments, ground the braided shield at appropriate points to ensure effective EMI protection.

Recommendations

Use this Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF cable for horizontal and rack patching where shielding improves reliability. Match the cable to shielded connectors and properly grounded equipment to realize the full benefits of the S/FTP construction.
