The ShiverPeaks BS75711-HY 1m Cat6 S/FTP Yellow networking cable is a single-meter Ethernet patch lead designed to provide reliable Gigabit-class connections in structured cabling and device-to-device links. Constructed to Cat6 specification with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this cable aims to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable throughput for network equipment in offices, homes, and data closets. Its yellow jacket improves visual identification in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (overall foil plus individually shielded pairs) helps limit crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. The Cat6 category supports higher frequencies and better performance than Cat5e, suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many PoE applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and resist corrosion for longer connector life. The 1 meter length provides a compact, manageable connection between nearby devices while the yellow color enables quick cable tracing.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between switches, routers, and wall outlets in offices and data rooms
• Short links between desktop PCs, NAS devices, and network printers
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference, such as server racks and multimedia installations
• Installations where color-coding simplifies cable management and identification

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance for Ethernet networks
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 1 meter
• Jacket color: yellow for easy identification

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the 1 m cable to link network devices located close to each other such as a switch to a desktop, router to a modem, or patch panel to active equipment. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling on the cable; route it alongside other cables or through cable management channels to maintain shielding effectiveness. For installations with multiple cables, use the yellow color as part of your color-coding scheme to quickly identify this connection during maintenance.

Recommendations

To preserve shielding and performance, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and avoid tight coil storage. For permanent installations in rack environments, secure the cable with appropriate ties and avoid stress at connector ends. Verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices after installation to confirm optimal operation.
