The ShiverPeaks BS75711-AY 1m Cat6a S/FTP Yellow networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet patch cable designed for installations that require reliable 10 Gigabit data transmission over short to medium distances. Constructed to Cat6a standards, the cable uses S/FTP shielding to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and it is terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends for compatibility with standard network equipment. The bright yellow jacket provides visual identification in patch panels, racks, and structured cabling runs.

Advantages

By combining Cat6a specifications with S/FTP (overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs), this cable offers improved signal integrity and reduced noise compared with unshielded alternatives. The 1 m length is convenient for patching between switches, patch panels, and desktop devices without excess cable management. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility across switches, routers, network interface cards, and other Ethernet devices while the durable outer jacket helps protect the internal conductors in everyday office and data center environments.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in data centers and server rooms
• Horizontal and patch cabling between network equipment and patch panels
• Workstation or VoIP phone connections requiring shielded cabling
• Environments with elevated electromagnetic interference where shielding is needed

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a, supports 10 Gbps transmission
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 1 meter
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Yellow jacket for easy identification
• Conductor arrangement: 4 twisted pairs, suitable for high-frequency transmission

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to a network switch, router, or patch panel port and the other end to the target device such as a server, desktop PC, VoIP phone, or network appliance. Route the cable through cable management channels or under raised floors as appropriate, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges that could damage the jacket or internal shielding. For shielded installations, ensure that patch panels and equipment support or are properly grounded for shielded cabling to maintain shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain bend radii recommended for Cat6a cables, avoid running near large power cables or unshielded noisy equipment when possible, and verify that connected equipment supports 10 Gbps links if high-speed operation is required. Use consistent color coding in your cabling infrastructure to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
