The ShiverPeaks BS75126 20m Cat5e F/UTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for stable data transmission in home and office networks. With a 20 metre length and F/UTP (foil-shielded, unshielded pairs) construction, the cable supports data rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and uses standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The grey outer sheath provides a neutral appearance for desk- and rack-mounted installations.

Advantages

The F/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference from external sources, improving signal integrity in environments with nearby electrical equipment. Cat5e wiring and quality RJ-45 terminations provide compatibility with existing Ethernet devices while supporting Gigabit Ethernet performance under typical conditions. The 20m length allows flexible placement of networked devices without the need for additional patching or extenders.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops and network printers to a switch or router
• Wiring small office networks and home network setups
• Patch connections in server racks and network cabinets where moderate length is required
• Temporary or permanent cabling for IP cameras and VoIP phones

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil shield around all pairs)
• Length: 20 metres
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s
• Outer colour: grey

How to use

To install, plug one RJ-45 connector into your network switch, router, or modem and the other connector into the device you want to connect. Ensure connectors click securely into place to establish proper contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For wall or ceiling runs, use appropriate clips or cable management accessories to secure the cable and maintain bend radius.

Recommendations

Use the cable for Gigabit-capable devices and avoid running it parallel and close to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. For installations in high-interference environments or where additional mechanical protection is required, consider conduit or alternative shielded categories as needed.
