The ShiverPeaks BS08-35076 10m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable in white is designed for high-speed wired connections in home and office environments. This cable supports up to 10000 Mbit/s data transfer rates and uses RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain consistent signal quality. U/UTP shielding provides protection against external electromagnetic interference while retaining the flexibility and ease of installation expected from modern Ethernet cabling.

Advantages

This Cat7 cable delivers high-bandwidth performance suitable for demanding network tasks while the gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure corrosion resistance and stable connections over time. The U/UTP shielding reduces the impact of external noise sources on signal integrity without requiring individual pair screens, simplifying termination and routing. A 10 meter length provides reach for typical room-to-room or equipment-to-switch connections, and the white jacket offers a neutral, unobtrusive appearance for visible installations.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Wired home networks connecting routers, switches, and networked devices
• Office workstations requiring reliable high-speed Ethernet connections
• Streaming and online gaming setups where low-latency wired links are preferred
• Server rooms and network cabinets for short to medium runs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 (Class F) performance
• Shielding type: U/UTP (overall foil shield, unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 10 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contacts: gold-plated for improved corrosion resistance
• Maximum data rate: 10000 Mbit/s (10 Gbps)
• Color: white

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, modem, or computer) and the other end to the corresponding port on a second device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until a click is felt to establish a secure electrical and mechanical connection. For best performance, avoid tight bends, kinks, or excessive mechanical stress along the cable run. Route the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources such as power transformers or large motors to minimize interference.

Recommendations

For optimal results in environments with potential electromagnetic interference, maintain proper cable separation from power cables and consider using cable management solutions to prevent sharp bends. Verify device port capabilities to ensure full utilization of the 10 Gbps bandwidth; where devices support lower speeds, the cable will operate at the negotiated rate.
