The S/CONN RJ45-RJ45 networking cable by ShiverPeaks is a 0.5 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP) patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. It features gold-plated RJ45 connectors to improve contact quality and reduce signal loss. The white jacket offers a neutral appearance that integrates with most installations while the screened construction provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference for stable connections.

Advantages

This Cat6 S/FTP cable supports gigabit Ethernet speeds and minimizes crosstalk due to its individually and overall screened design. Gold-plated RJ45 plugs ensure reliable mating with network ports and help maintain consistent performance over repeated insertions. Its 0.5 m length is convenient for short connections between switches, routers and devices, reducing cable clutter and maintaining signal integrity across short runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers in small office and home networks
• Short patch connections in server cabinets and network racks
• Linking networked devices such as NAS, media players and gaming consoles
• Any installation requiring screened cable to reduce electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ45 to RJ45, gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.5 m
• Color: white
• Intended speeds: up to gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE‑T) and suitable for typical Cat6 frequency ranges

How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of your router, switch or hub and the other into the device you want to connect, such as a PC, NAS or media player. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure physical connection. For best results, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable; route it along cable management paths or through conduit where appropriate. Short cable length makes it suitable for patch panels and close‑proximity device connections.

Recommendations

Use this screened Cat6 cable for short, high‑quality connections where interference reduction and reliable gigabit performance are required. Keep the cable away from high‑power electrical lines and strong EMI sources to preserve signal integrity. For longer runs, consider an appropriately rated Cat6 or higher cable in the correct length to maintain performance.
