ROLINE UTP Patch Cord Cat.5e RJ-45 20 m Grey is a 20-metre unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cable with RJ-45 plugs on both ends. The cable uses 4-pair stranded copper conductors and 1:1 contact wiring according to the EIA/TIA 568 standard, providing reliable data transmission for network connections. The moulded kink protection and flexible sheath support installation in limited spaces while gold-plated contacts ensure consistent signal quality.

Advantages

This Cat.5e patch cord combines flexibility and durability for everyday networking. The moulded strain relief reduces connector stress, and gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and connection stability. The 20 m length enables connections across rooms or between racks without additional joins.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers in office or home networks
• Patch panels and network racks where a 20 m cable run is needed
• Temporary or permanent LAN installations using Cat5e cabling

Key specifications

• Length: 20 m
• Type: UTP (unshielded twisted pair), Cat.5e
• Conductors: 4-pair stranded copper
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Wiring: 1:1 (EIA/TIA 568)
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network port on your devices until it clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; the flexible jacket permits installation through confined spaces but keep bend radius within manufacturer-recommended limits. For best results, connect directly between devices or via patch panels and avoid adding inline splices.

Recommendations

Use this Cat.5e UTP cable for standard Ethernet connections up to Cat5e performance. For environments requiring additional electromagnetic protection or higher bandwidth (Gigabit+ over longer distances), consider shielded cables or higher-category (Cat6/Cat6a) alternatives.
