The Lanberg PCF5-10CC-1000-S RJ-45 Cat5e 10 m Grey is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable data transmission in home and office networks. This Cat5e F/UTP cable offers operation up to 100 MHz and comes with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its grey PVC jacket and printed length counter at every meter make routing and installation straightforward while the stranded AWG 26 conductor construction provides flexibility for patching between devices and network panels.

Advantages

The F/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal stability in environments with nearby electrical equipment. Stranded 7*0.16 mm conductors and a 5.4 mm PVC outer jacket deliver a balance of flexibility and durability suitable for frequent movement in patching scenarios. Compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA-568B standards ensures compatibility with common network equipment and connectors.

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your networking device (for example a computer, switch or router) and the other RJ-45 plug to the corresponding port on the network equipment or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, pinching, or proximity to high-voltage power lines to maintain signal quality. For installation through cable trays or conduits, verify the outer diameter fits the available space and that bending radius recommendations are respected.

Recommendations

Use this Cat5e F/UTP cable for short to medium-length patching and workstation connections where flexibility and EMI protection are needed. Avoid excessive bending and repeated mechanical strain to prolong cable life. If higher throughput or PoE requirements exceed Cat5e capabilities, consider upgrading to Cat6 or higher categories.
