The Gembird PP6A-LSZHCU-20M RJ-45 Cat6a 20m Grey is a 20-metre high-performance network cable designed for reliable wired connections in home and office networks. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 plugs, this cable supports high data rates while reducing electromagnetic interference. Its grey jacket provides a neutral, unobtrusive appearance for visible or concealed installations.

Advantages

This Cat6a cable offers improved signal integrity through S/FTP shielding, which combines an overall foil with individually braided shields for each twisted pair, reducing crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact quality and resistance to corrosion. The 20 m length covers longer runs without intermediate connectors, and the grey outer sheath resists abrasion while blending with most environments.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for desktop computers, switches and routers
• High-bandwidth applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet over suitable hardware
• Structured cabling runs in small offices, server closets and home networks
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Standard: Category 6a (Cat6a)
• Length: 20 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port on your networking device and the other end to a switch, router or network outlet. Ensure both connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and place the cable away from high-power electrical equipment to minimise interference. For permanent installations, route the cable along cable management channels or behind furniture to maintain a tidy setup.

Recommendations

For optimal throughput on long runs, pair the cable with compatible Cat6a-capable switches and network interfaces. When installing near sources of strong electromagnetic noise, maintain separation or use conduit to preserve shielding effectiveness.
