The equip® Cat.6 S/FTP Patch Cord is a 0.5 m black network cable designed for reliable high-speed connections. Constructed from quality materials and fully tested to meet industry standards, this Cat.6 S/FTP cable provides improved bandwidth and better signal-to-noise margin for stable data transmission in demanding network environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure durable and consistent contact.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, helping to maintain signal integrity. The Cat.6 specification supports gigabit speeds and offers higher performance than lower-category cables. The short 0.5 m length is convenient for neat patching in racks, patch panels, and between nearby devices.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections (10/100/1000Base-T(X))
• Patch panels and switch-to-server or switch-to-workstation links
• Environments requiring reduced interference and reliable short cable runs

Key specifications

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router, patch panel or NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the paired device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends and pinching; route the cable to prevent mechanical strain and maintain performance.

Recommendations

For best results in gigabit networks, use this Cat.6 S/FTP patch cord for short connections within racks or between nearby devices. Keep cable runs within recommended lengths for patch cords and avoid running alongside high-voltage power lines to minimize interference.
