The EFB Elektronik MK7001.25B RJ-45 Cat6a 25 m Black is a shielded network cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. Constructed to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 terminations, this 25-metre cable supports 10GBase-T applications and data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s. The black outer jacket provides a discreet finish suitable for both home and office environments.

Advantages

Cat6a specification and S/FTP shielding reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity over longer runs. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable contact and corrosion resistance for stable performance. The 25 m length enables flexible placement of network devices without the need for additional patching. The cable's construction is suitable for 10GBase-T networks, allowing high-bandwidth applications to operate at designed speeds.

Key specifications

• Cable standard: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual pair foil + overall braid)
• Length: 25 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Supported protocol: 10GBase-T
• Nominal maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Black

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring gentle bends and avoiding tight loops to maintain signal integrity. Insert RJ-45 connectors fully into device ports until they click to secure the connection. For best performance, keep the cable separated from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as power cables and large motors. If routing through walls or conduits, confirm local installation standards and fire-safety requirements for cable types and lengths.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for backbone or horizontal runs where 10GBase-T performance and reduced interference are required. For permanent in-wall installations, verify compliance with building regulations and consider professional termination if custom lengths or wall plates are needed.
