The EFB Elektronik K8580GR.25 RJ-45 Cat6a 25 m Grey is a networking cable designed to deliver reliable wired connections for local area networks. Built to Cat6a standard with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors, this 25-metre cable supports data transmission speeds up to 10000 Mbit/s and is suitable for structured cabling runs where higher bandwidth and reduced interference are required.

Advantages

The cable's Cat6a specification provides headroom for high-bandwidth applications and improved performance compared with lower-category cables. S/FTP shielding helps reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in environments with multiple adjacent cables or electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and resistance to corrosion, and the 25 m length allows flexible placement of devices while keeping a single continuous run.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between switches, routers and networked devices
• Structured cabling in offices, server rooms and home networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers and VoIP
• Environments where shielded cabling is needed to mitigate interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold plating
• Cable length: 25 m
• Color: Grey
• Maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s

How to use

Uncoil the cable carefully to avoid kinks and route it along the desired path, keeping bends gentle and within the manufacturer's recommended bend radius for shielded twisted-pair cables. Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding network ports of switches, routers or devices until the latch clicks. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the shielding. Test the connection after installation with a network tester or by verifying link/activity LEDs and performing data transfer checks.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use shielded patch panels and properly terminate cable shields to maintain the effectiveness of S/FTP protection. When deploying over longer distances or in routed pathways, allow service loops and protect the cable from sharp edges or crushing forces.
