The EFB Elektronik K8560SW.3 RJ45 Cat6a 3m networking cable is a black, 3-meter Ethernet cable built to Cat6a performance. It provides two RJ-45 connectors for direct device-to-device or device-to-network connections and is intended for use where higher bandwidth and reduced crosstalk are required. The cable length of 3 m gives flexibility for desktop, rack, or home networking setups while maintaining a compact appearance thanks to its black finish.

Advantages

The Cat6a specification supports higher data rates and improved shielding characteristics compared with earlier categories, enabling stable transmission at gigabit and multi-gigabit speeds over short to medium distances. The use of standard RJ-45 connectors ensures compatibility with a wide range of switches, routers, network cards and patch panels. The 3 m length reduces the need for intermediate patching while allowing flexible device placement. The black jacket provides a discreet look suitable for visible installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers to switches or routers
• Patching between wall outlets and network devices
• Home office and small office Ethernet connections
• Short runs in server racks or network cabinets

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Length: 3 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Black
• Usage: Ethernet networking for gigabit and multi-gigabit applications

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other connector into the target network device such as a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated and the cable has no sharp bends near the ends. For rack-mounted equipment, route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive tension; allow some slack for movement and maintenance. Test the connection using network diagnostics or link/activity LEDs on your equipment to confirm a live link.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use appropriate cable management in racks and along walls to prevent stress at the connector ends. For installations requiring shielded or plenum-rated cabling, verify local codes and select cable types that meet those requirements.
