The EFB Elektronik K8456.25 RJ-45 Cat5e 25 m Grey is a network patch cable designed for wired Ethernet connections in homes, offices and small data networks. It follows the Cat5e standard and uses U/FTP shielding to reduce interference, providing stable data transmission for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and finished in a neutral grey jacket, the cable combines functional design with compatibility across network devices.

Advantages

The U/FTP shielding helps protect signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic interference, while Cat5e specification supports reliable performance up to Gigabit speeds where cabling infrastructure permits. The 25 m length offers extended reach without additional patching, and moulded RJ-45 connectors ensure a standard, secure link to switches, routers and network ports. The grey outer sheath provides a discreet appearance suitable for visible or concealed installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, printers and network devices to switches and routers
• Wired home networks and office desktop connections
• Temporary or permanent runs where a 25 m length is required
• Environments needing reduced EMI impact on signal quality

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X) compatible
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall foil with individually foiled pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Product colour: Grey

How to use

Route the cable between network devices avoiding tight bends and sharp edges. Insert RJ-45 plugs firmly into device ports until the connector latch clicks. For best signal performance, keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as large motors, fluorescent ballasts or unshielded power cables. If routing through walls or conduits, ensure compliance with local building and fire codes and use appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal Gigabit performance, verify both connected devices support 1000Base-T and maintain recommended installation practices: avoid excessive bend radius, minimize kinks, and do not exceed the structured cabling channel length if used within a patching system. Periodically inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
