The EFB Elektronik K8092.20 RJ-45 Cat5e 20 m White networking cable is a 20-metre U/UTP Cat5e cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, intended for reliable wired Ethernet connections. Built to support standard Cat5e performance, this cable transmits network data for devices such as routers, switches, PCs and network printers. Its white outer jacket provides a tidy appearance for visible installations in offices or homes.

Advantages

This Cat5e cable offers consistent signal transmission across 20 metres with reduced external interference due to its U/UTP construction. The pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure straightforward plug-and-play installation without additional tools. The white jacket combines functional insulation with a neutral aesthetic suitable for exposed runs along walls or under desks.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers and laptops to routers or switches
• Wired connections for network printers and NAS devices
• Office and home Ethernet installations where a 20 m reach is required
• Temporary network setups for events or maintenance

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 20 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded pair with overall braid absence)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: White

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other end into the corresponding port on a router, switch or modem. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. For wall runs or cable management, route the cable along baseboards or through cable trays to avoid kinks and sharp bends that could impair signal quality. Test the link status on connected equipment to verify network connectivity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines or large electrical equipment. Keep bends gentle (minimum bend radius typically equal to several times the cable diameter) and avoid heavy strain on the connectors. For environments with significant electromagnetic interference, consider a shielded cable type or a higher category cable if higher bandwidth or improved shielding is required.
