The EFB Elektronik K0993.3 RJ-45 Cat5e 3 m Black networking cable provides a 3‑metre connection conforming to the Cat5e standard. It uses S/UTP shielding and RJ‑45 connectors with gold plating on both ends to support reliable copper Ethernet links. The cable is designed for data transfer rates up to 2500 Mbit/s and comes in a black jacket suitable for visible and concealed installations.

Advantages

S/UTP shielding reduces interference from external electromagnetic sources and adjacent cables, improving signal stability in crowded wiring environments. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts promote consistent electrical contact and corrosion resistance for long‑term use. The 3 m length gives flexibility for desktop, rack, and home network layouts while keeping excess slack manageable.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers within small offices or home networks
• Patch connections in server rooms or network cabinets where a short to medium cable is needed
• Linking network devices that support Gigabit and multi‑gigabit Ethernet speeds within the Cat5e performance range

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat5e
• Length: 3 m
• Shielding: S/UTP
• Connectors: RJ‑45 to RJ‑45
• Connector plating: Gold‑plated contacts
• Colour: Black
• Maximum data transfer rate: up to 2500 Mbit/s

How to use

Plug each RJ‑45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on network devices such as a computer, switch, router or patch panel until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain recommended bend radius to preserve signal integrity. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high‑voltage power lines or close to heavy machinery that may generate electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

For stable network operation, use this Cat5e S/UTP cable for connections up to 3 metres where Cat5e performance is sufficient. When installing in structured cabling or high‑interference environments, combine with proper cable management and grounding practices to take full advantage of the shielding.
