Καλώδιο δικτύου Draka Comteq Cat.6a 3m

The Draka Comteq Cat.6a 3m networking cable is a 3-metre S/FTP Ethernet cable designed for high-performance data transmission. It conforms to Cat6a specifications and uses shielded pairs with an overall foil and individual pair shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. Both ends are terminated with RJ-45 connectors and the cable is finished in a bright orange jacket for easy identification in wiring bundles and active network environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved resistance to crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded cabling, supporting more stable connections in environments with multiple electrical sources. The Cat6a grade supports higher bandwidth and performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over shorter runs, while the 3 metre length offers a practical balance between reach and cable management. The orange jacket enhances visibility for network technicians and reduces the chance of accidental disconnection during maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, routers or patch panels to workstations and servers within racks or desktop setups
• Short runs in office environments where interference from nearby electrical equipment is possible
• Home networking for high-bandwidth applications such as streaming, gaming and large file transfers
• Temporary or permanent installations requiring clearly visible cabling for identification and tracing

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a, suitable for up to 10 Gbps over appropriate distances
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually screened pairs)
• Length: 3 metres
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends, compatible with standard Ethernet ports
• Jacket colour: Orange for high visibility
• Conductor: Twisted pairs, solid or stranded construction depending on product variant
• Frequency: Supports up to 500 MHz signal bandwidth

How to use

Route the 3 m cable between the two network devices ensuring the cable is not bent sharply at the connectors or along its length. Plug the RJ-45 connectors firmly into the Ethernet ports until a positive click is felt. For installations in patch panels or racks, maintain proper bend radius and secure the cable with ties or cable management elements to avoid stress on connectors. After connection, verify link status and speed on the connected devices to confirm the cable supports the expected throughput.

Recommendations

Use the Draka Comteq Cat.6a 3m cable for short, high-performance links where shielding is required to mitigate interference. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances, and inspect RJ-45 plugs for debris before insertion. For permanent installations, choose appropriate strain relief and routing to prolong connector life and maintain signal integrity.
