The Digitus DK-1624-A-VH-1 RJ45 Cat6a 100m Blue is a 100-meter networking cable designed to deliver high-speed data transmission for structured cabling in residential and commercial environments. Built to the Cat6a standard with U/FTP shielding, this cable reduces electromagnetic interference and supports stable connections for gigabit and higher-speed network applications. The blue outer jacket provides clear visual identification in patch panels and cable runs.

Advantages

The U/FTP shielding around the twisted pairs minimizes crosstalk and external interference, which helps maintain signal integrity over longer distances. Compliance with Cat6a performance characteristics enables higher bandwidth and improved headroom compared to lower category cables. A 100 m continuous length simplifies installation in larger rooms or between network closets, reducing the need for joins. The cable's blue colour assists in organising and identifying network segments.

Key specifications

• Cable standard: Cat6a
• Shielding type: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 100 m
• Connector type: RJ45 terminations when terminated by installer (cable for termination)
• Outer jacket colour: Blue

How to use

Run the 100 m cable along cable trays, conduits or wall paths between networking equipment locations. Strip the outer jacket and prepare the twisted pairs according to the selected termination standard (T568A or T568B) and fit appropriate RJ45 connectors or use a keystone jack/patch panel for permanent installations. Maintain recommended bend radius and avoid tight bends or kinks to preserve performance. For best results, route the cable away from strong power sources and sources of electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, test the installed cable with a certified cable tester capable of validating Cat6a links. When planning installations, allow service loops and label both ends for easier maintenance. Consider using shielded connectors and properly grounding shielded infrastructure where system design requires it.
