The Dätwyler 21.05.0532 Yellow 3m Cat6a S/FTP is a 3-meter Ethernet patch cable built to the Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its construction supports high-speed data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference, while the yellow jacket provides visual distinction in cable runs and patch panels.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable offers improved performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium distances thanks to enhanced pair-to-pair and external shielding. The RJ-45 terminated ends ensure compatibility with standard network ports and switches. The bright yellow sheath simplifies identification and cable management in dense installations, and the cable's design reduces crosstalk and external noise for more stable connections.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in office and data centre environments
• Structured cabling and patch panel connections
• Connections between switches, routers, servers, and network appliances
• Environments where cable identification and colour-coding are required

Key specifications

• Length: 3 m
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil plus individually foiled pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Colour: Yellow
• Typical application: 10 Gbps Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the appropriate network ports, ensuring secure seating in switches, patch panels, or endpoint devices. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius to preserve signal integrity. For structured cabling, label both ends if required and secure the cable in cable management trays or ties without compressing the shielding.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short to medium rack-to-rack or equipment-to-switch connections where Cat6a performance and visual identification are needed. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances and inspect connectors for damage before installation.
