The BlueOptics CB-M12-M12-MMF20M MPO-MPO Multimode OM4 Patch Cable 20 Meter is a multimode fiber patch cable designed for high-bandwidth network links. With OM4 grade multimode fibers and MPO connectors on both ends, this 20 m cable supports short-reach high-speed transmission in structured cabling environments such as data centers, server rooms and enterprise distribution racks. The cable combines a compact MPO connector interface with multimode OM4 performance to maintain signal integrity across multi-fiber trunks and parallel optics systems.

Advantages

This MPO-MPO multimode OM4 cable provides consistent attenuation and modal bandwidth suitable for 10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium distances. The pre-terminated MPO connectors reduce installation time and minimize connector handling, while the multimode OM4 fiber core is optimized for laser-based transceivers and parallel optics. The 20 meter length offers flexibility for patching between equipment rows or cross-connects without excess slack.

Key specifications

How to use

Route the cable along existing cable management paths and secure it to avoid sharp bends or compression. Align the MPO connectors with the corresponding MPO ports on patch panels, transceivers or cassette modules and push until the connector latches. Verify polarity and fiber mapping according to the installation plan before powering network equipment. Test the link with appropriate fiber test equipment to confirm insertion loss and continuity after installation.

Recommendations

Avoid tight bending and excessive pulling force during installation; maintain the cable's minimum bend radius and use protective boots or cable guides where needed. Use compatible MPO transceivers and maintain consistent polarity and fiber mapping when connecting parallel optics to ensure correct channel alignment.
