InLine Καλώδιο FireWire 400 σε 800 1394b βύσμα 6 / 9 Pin 3m

Adapter cable for connecting FireWire IEEE 1394a (FireWire 400) devices with a 6‑pin connector to a FireWire controller with an IEEE 1394b (FireWire 800) 9‑pin connector. The InLine FireWire 400 to 800 1394b Cable (6 / 9 Pin male) is 3 m long and enables compatibility between FireWire400 peripherals and FireWire800 controllers, which are downward compatible.

Advantages

This 3 m cable supports data transfer between 400 Mbit/s and 800 Mbit/s FireWire interfaces by providing a direct 6‑pin to 9‑pin male connection. It is designed for reliable signal transmission and convenient device interoperability, allowing existing FireWire400 equipment to be used with newer FireWire800 controller ports. The cable comes in black and is suitable for typical desktop or studio setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting digital video cameras (FireWire 400) to FireWire 800 ports
• Linking external hard drives and storage enclosures with 6‑pin FireWire
• Data transfer between legacy FireWire400 peripherals and modern FireWire800 controllers
• Audio interfaces and studio equipment using FireWire 400

Key specifications

• Connector A: 6‑pin male (IEEE 1394a / FireWire 400)
• Connector B: 9‑pin male (IEEE 1394b / FireWire 800)
• Length: 3 m
• Data rates supported: compatible with 400 Mbit/s devices when used with 800 Mbit/s controllers
• Color: black
• Brand: InLine
• Manufacturer part number (MPN): 36903
• EAN: 4043718029693

How to use

Connect the 6‑pin male end of the cable to the FireWire 400 device and the 9‑pin male end to the FireWire 800 controller port on your computer or hub. Ensure both devices are powered off when plugging or unplugging to avoid potential data corruption. After connection, power on the devices and allow the host system to recognize the peripheral. No additional drivers are typically required beyond the host system's FireWire support.

Recommendations

For stable transfers, use the shortest practical cable length and avoid routing the cable near strong electromagnetic sources. Verify that the FireWire controller supports backward compatibility with IEEE 1394a devices before relying on full functionality.
