Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών Alcasa LW-805SC5 5 m SC πράσινο

The Alcasa LW-805SC5 5 m SC Green is a 5-metre OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for high-speed data transmission, this fibre optic cable supports reliable links in structured cabling, data centre interconnects and short-range high-bandwidth networks. The green jacket identifies the OM5 specification and helps with quick visual segregation in mixed cabling environments.

Advantages

The Alcasa LW-805SC5 offers stable multimode performance with a 50 µm core that accommodates high-density and high-throughput connections. Its SC duplex connectors provide a robust push-pull coupling suitable for rack-mounted panels and transceivers. The 5 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity for common equipment-to-equipment runs while the OM5-rated fibre enables improved modal performance for wavelength division multiplexing in multimode systems.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, servers and transceivers
• High-performance computing (HPC) short-range interconnects
• Structured building cabling and telecom rooms
• Multimode wavelength division multiplexing (short-reach)

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode fibre
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (duplex)
• Length: 5 metres
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identification)

How to use

Install the Alcasa LW-805SC5 by aligning each SC connector with the corresponding SC port on networking equipment or patch panels and gently inserting until the connector latches. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to preserve optical performance. When routing the cable, secure it with cable ties or management arms without compressing the jacket to prevent microbends or macrobends that could increase attenuation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM5 cable for short-reach multimode links and pair it with compatible OM5-rated transceivers and patch panels. Keep connectors clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools before insertion and avoid excessive pulling force. Store spare cables coiled with a gentle radius and label both ends for easy identification in dense installations.
