Goobay 55434 Καλώδιο δικτύου RJ-45 Cat6 20 m Μαύρο

The Goobay 55434 RJ-45 Cat6 networking cable, 20 m in black, is a durable outdoor-capable Ethernet cable designed for reliable data transmission. It uses copper conductors (CU) and a double-layer polyethylene (PE) cable jacket that provides enhanced resistance to weathering and UV radiation. The cable is U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall braid absent) and comes with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for secure contact and reduced signal loss.

Advantages

The double-layer PE jacket increases durability for outdoor use such as garden runs, camping or mounting on building facades, while copper conductors ensure stable signal transmission. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and limit corrosion. The Cat6 specification supports higher data rates and reduced crosstalk compared with lower-category cables.

Suitable for

• Outdoor Ethernet runs (garden, terrace, campsite)
• Connecting network devices such as routers, switches and PoE cameras
• Wiring along building facades and external installations
• Temporary or permanent outdoor surveillance camera connections

How to use

Route the cable along the desired path, fixing it with suitable clips or cable ties and avoiding sharp bends or crushing. Connect RJ-45 plugs to the Ethernet ports of your network devices (router, switch, camera), ensuring firm insertion until the connector latches. For outdoor runs, place the cable where it is protected from mechanical damage and minimize exposure to standing water. Test the network link after installation to confirm signal and speed.

Recommendations

For long-term outdoor installations, combine the Goobay Cat6 cable with UV-resistant clips and conduits and, where necessary, provide drip loops or waterproof junction boxes at connection points to reduce moisture ingress. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference.
