For most systems the device operates as a plug & play scanner; install drivers only if the host requires them. Hold the scanner comfortably in one hand, aim the laser beam at the barcode and pull the trigger or enable auto trigger/stand mode for hands‑free reading. Ensure barcodes are within the scanner’s typical read distance and are presented steadily for the most reliable capture.

Recommendations

For best results, use the OPR2001 on barcodes with adequate contrast and keep the scan window clean. Choose the wired USB option for reliable, low‑latency connections in point‑of‑sale or desktop environments. When frequent hands‑free scanning is needed, pair the scanner with the dedicated stand and enable auto trigger mode.
