DSIT DANICOM CAT6 Outdoor UTP καλώδιο 40m μαύρο 100% χαλκός (DC-OUT-60-400)

For network installers running Ethernet between buildings or across outdoor areas, this 40-metre CAT6 UTP cable from DSIT DANICOM delivers reliable gigabit connectivity in harsh weather. The black polyethylene jacket is UV-stable and weather-resistant, protecting the solid copper conductors from rain, snow, and temperature swings from -20°C to +60°C. With 23 AWG solid bare copper wires and four twisted pairs, it meets TIA/EIA-568-C.2 Category 6 standards, supporting 1000BASE-T up to 100 metres and 10GBASE-T up to 55 metres. Since it is unterminated bulk cable, you can cut it to the exact length needed and attach your own RJ45 connectors or keystone jacks.

Key specifications

• Cable type: CAT6 UTP (unshielded twisted pair), 4 pairs
• Length: 40 metres
• Conductor: 100% solid copper, 23 AWG
• Jacket: Black PE (polyethylene), UV-resistant and weatherproof
• Bandwidth: 250 MHz, impedance 100 Ohm
• Standards: TIA/EIA-568-C.2, RoHS compliant
• Operating temperature: -20°C to +60°C
• Connector: none (bulk cable, unterminated)

Why choose it

Solid copper conductors provide superior signal integrity and lower DC resistance compared to copper-clad aluminium (CCA), ensuring stable PoE delivery and long-term performance. The outdoor-rated PE jacket resists UV degradation, moisture, and abrasion, so the cable remains flexible and reliable even after years of sun and rain. Because it is unshielded, it is easier to terminate and more cost-effective than STP while still meeting CAT6 specifications for most residential and commercial outdoor runs.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting IP security cameras on exterior walls or poles
• Linking a garden office, garage, or workshop to the main network
• Running Ethernet along an outside wall between floors or buildings
• Outdoor Wi-Fi access point backhaul
• Any permanent outdoor installation requiring a robust, UV-stable cable

Good to know

This cable is sold as a 40-metre reel without connectors, so you will need RJ45 plugs or keystone jacks and a crimp tool. For best results, use CAT6-rated connectors and maintain the twist rate up to the termination point. When installing outdoors, avoid sharp bends and use cable clips or conduit where mechanical protection is needed. The black jacket blends discreetly with most building exteriors.
