Donner Special-DI Παθητικό DI-Box

When connecting an electric guitar, bass, or keyboard directly to a mixing console or audio interface, you often encounter unwanted hum, buzz, and signal degradation caused by ground loops and impedance mismatches. The Donner Special-DI Passive DI Box solves these issues by converting high-impedance unbalanced instrument signals into low-impedance balanced microphone-level signals, ensuring clean, noise-free audio transmission over long cable runs.

Who is it for

This DI box is ideal for live sound engineers, recording musicians, and home studio owners who need a reliable, no-fuss solution for connecting instruments to PA systems or recording equipment. Whether you're on stage, in the studio, or rehearsing, the Special-DI provides professional-grade signal conversion without the need for batteries or phantom power.

Main features

• Passive design requires no external power, ensuring zero battery anxiety and consistent performance.
• High-quality audio transformer delivers transparent sound with a flat frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz.
• Ground lift switch effectively eliminates hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
• -20dB pad switch allows connection of high-output sources like active basses or line-level signals without distortion.
• Rugged aluminum alloy chassis withstands the rigors of touring and frequent use.
• Parallel 1/4" thru jack lets you send the original signal to an on-stage amplifier while feeding the mixer.

Tips

For best results, place the DI box close to the instrument and use a short unbalanced cable to the input. Engage the ground lift if you hear hum, and use the pad switch when connecting line-level sources. The thru jack is perfect for feeding a stage amplifier while sending a clean signal to the front-of-house mixer.
