Δικτυακός πομπός Veracity LONGSPAN Base 1000 m 200 Mbit/s

LONGSPAN Base Unit is a network transmitter that enables long-range Power over Ethernet for IP cameras and other remote network devices. When paired with a LONGSPAN Camera unit, it delivers up to 200 Mbps bandwidth and supports reliable 100Base-T Ethernet over regular Cat 6 cable to 840 metres or Cat 5e to 690 metres. The unit also supports negotiation to 10Base-T for extended ranges beyond 1000 metres and can be powered via PoE-in or a VPSU-57V-X supply.

Advantages

The LONGSPAN Base provides a point-to-point solution with no mid-cable equipment and automatic self-configuration to simplify and speed up installation. It maintains full 200 Mbps bandwidth needed for high-activity or low-light video scenes and supports single-pair UTP for upgrades from legacy analogue systems. The device complies with IEEE 802.3af/at standards and is compact and energy-efficient with approximately 1 W typical power consumption.

Suitable for

• Long-distance IP camera connections over Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable
• Remote network devices requiring PoE up to 1000 m (with 10Base-T fallback)
• Upgrade of analogue CCTV infrastructure using single-pair UTP

Key specifications

• Data rate: up to 200 Mbps (supports 100Base-T)
• Maximum range: up to 840 m on Cat 6, up to 690 m on Cat 5e (100Base-T); >1000 m with 10Base-T negotiation
• Power: PoE-in or VPSU-57V-X; complies with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at
• Typical power consumption: 1 W
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 35 × 93 × 21 mm
• Certifications: FCC, CE, RoHS
• Brand/MPN/EAN: Veracity / 1705,00 / 892314002241

How to use

Connect the LONGSPAN Base to your network switch or PoE injector and to the remote LONGSPAN Camera unit using regular Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. If required, provide power via PoE-in or connect a VPSU-57V-X supply. The units automatically negotiate the best link speed and configuration; for maximum throughput use Cat 6 cable to achieve 100Base-T at extended distance. For ranges exceeding the 100Base-T limit, the system will auto-negotiate to 10Base-T to maintain a connection beyond 1000 metres.

Recommendations

For reliable 100Base-T operation at the highest supported distances, use high-quality Cat 6 cabling and ensure both Base and Camera units are correctly paired and powered. For legacy analogue upgrades, verify single-pair UTP compatibility and test link performance after installation.
