DIGITUS L2 Managed Switch Gigabit Ethernet 8 θυρών, 10 ιντσών

The Digitus Managed Switch 8 Port Gigabit (DN-80117) is an L2+ Ethernet switch with eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports designed for small to mid-sized company networks. It supports IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3ab standards, full-duplex flow control and link aggregation, and can be placed on a desktop or mounted in a 10-inch housing (1U installation height). The switch is built on ASIC integration technology to provide non-blocking gigabit switching and includes management interfaces for centralized configuration.

Advantages

This managed switch offers a compact 8-port Gigabit solution with L2+ features such as VLAN support, port control and port isolation, port mirroring and loop detection. Management via WEB, SNMP, SSH, CLI and Telnet enables flexible administration. With a MAC address table sized for mid-sized deployments and a 16 Gbps backplane bandwidth, the unit provides reliable throughput and predictable behavior for converged network applications.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized business networks
• Rack or 10-inch housing installations (1U height) and desktop placement
• Segmentation with VLANs and traffic monitoring via port mirroring

How to use

Install the switch on a desktop or mount it in a 10-inch housing at 1U height. Connect network devices to the RJ-45 Gigabit ports and power the unit. Access the management interfaces (WEB, SNMP, SSH, CLI or Telnet) to configure VLANs, port control, link aggregation and monitoring options such as port mirroring. Use port isolation and loop detection features to improve network stability and security. Save configuration changes to persist settings across reboots.

Recommendations

For optimal performance in mid-sized networks, use gigabit-capable cabling (Cat5e or higher), enable VLANs to separate traffic where needed, and configure link aggregation for uplinks requiring higher throughput. Regularly back up configurations via the supported management interfaces.
