Διακόπτης δικτύου PLANET FSD-503 Fast Ethernet 10/100

The PLANET FSD-503 Fast Ethernet 10/100 network switch is a compact 5‑port RJ-45 switch designed for small office and home office environments. It provides 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation on all ports, full-duplex capability, a 2K MAC address table and 1 Gbit/s switching capacity in a metal desktop case that can also be wall-mounted.

Advantages

The switch uses Store-and-Forward forwarding to ensure low latency and high data integrity, with filtering/forwarding rates of up to 14,880 pps at 10Mbps and 148,800 pps at 100Mbps. An internal packet buffer and an intelligent address recognition algorithm help reduce congestion and unnecessary traffic. The compact metal design supports easy installation in space-limited locations, and a rear-panel power ON/OFF button helps save energy when the device is not in use.

Suitable for

• Small office or home office network expansion (up to ~10–50 users)
• Connecting desktop PCs, printers and a single server or router
• Environments requiring simple, unmanaged switching for Ethernet devices

Key specifications

• Ports: 5 × RJ-45 Fast Ethernet (10/100Mbps)
• Switching capacity: 1 Gbit/s
• MAC address table: 2,000 entries
• Forwarding rates: 14,880 pps (10Mbps), 148,800 pps (100Mbps)
• Standards: IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3x, IEEE 802.3az
• Power input: DC 5 V
• Weight: 0.306 kg; Colour: Blue; Metal desktop/wall-mountable case

How to use

Place the switch on a desktop or mount it on a wall, then connect each device using Cat5/Cat5e cables to the RJ-45 ports. The ports perform 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, so standard straight or crossover cables are not required. Connect the DC 5 V power adapter, use the rear power ON/OFF button to control power, and allow the device to complete its boot sequence before network traffic begins.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect servers or routers directly to the switch using quality Cat5e cables, avoid daisy-chaining multiple unmanaged switches where possible, and place the switch in a well-ventilated, dry location to maintain stable operation.
