Διαχειριζόμενο switch Grandstream Networks GWN7831

The Grandstream Networks GWN7831 is a managed Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch with four RJ-45 ports (10/100/1000). Designed for enterprise aggregation, it provides a MAC address table of 16,000 entries and a switching capacity of 128 Gbit/s while supporting a broad set of IEEE networking standards. The GWN7831 supports advanced VLAN, QoS features, IGMP/MLD snooping and comprehensive security controls, and can be managed via the local web UI, CLI, GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager.

Advantages

The GWN7831 offers scalable Layer 3 aggregation capabilities in a compact form factor, combining high switching capacity with support for advanced traffic segmentation and prioritization. It includes IGMP/MLD snooping for improved multicast performance and supports multiple management options including local web UI, command-line interface and Grandstream’s cloud and on‑premise management platforms. The switch also supports IEEE PoE standards and 10G uplink capability for flexible deployment.

Suitable for

• Small to medium enterprise aggregation and access layer
• Office networks requiring VLAN segmentation and QoS
• Environments with multicast traffic such as IPTV or conferencing
• Deployments needing cloud or on‑premise centralized management

How to use

Install the GWN7831 in a suitable rack or desktop location with proper ventilation and connect power and network cables to the RJ-45 ports. Access and configure the switch through the local web user interface or via the CLI for detailed settings. For centralized management, add the device to GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager and apply configuration profiles, VLANs and QoS policies as required for your network design. Verify firmware is up to date before deploying in production.

Recommendations

Use VLANs and QoS to segment and prioritise traffic according to application needs, enable IGMP/MLD snooping where multicast traffic is present, and manage the device through GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager for centralized monitoring and updates. Ensure adequate cooling and follow Grandstream guidelines for PoE and 10G uplink connections.
