Canon EW-73D Παρασολάδα

The Canon EW-73D Lens Hood is designed for use with the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. Its round, black design reduces stray light entering the lens to minimise flare and ghosting while also providing basic protection for the front element against bumps and scratches.

Advantages

The EW-73D improves image contrast and reduces unwanted light artifacts when shooting into bright light sources. Made to fit the specified Canon lens, the hood also shields the front glass from accidental contact and minor impacts without affecting autofocus or image stabilization.

Suitable for

• Landscape and outdoor photography where sun or strong side light may cause flare
• Everyday use to protect the front element from knocks and scratches
• Travel and street photography with the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens

How to use

Align the bayonet mounts on the EW-73D with the front of the compatible lens, then rotate the hood until it clicks into place. For storage, reverse-mount the hood on the lens (if supported) or remove and carry it separately. Ensure the hood is attached for shots involving strong direct or side light; remove it only when it causes vignetting at very wide focal lengths.

Recommendations

The EW-73D is intended specifically for the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens; using the correct hood model helps avoid vignetting and ensures optimal protection and flare reduction.
