BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-OM4-3M-BO MPO Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών 3m OM4 50µm

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-OM4-3M-BO MPO fibre optic cable is a 3-metre multimode link engineered for high-density network environments. Using OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter, this cable supports high-speed data transmission and is suitable for installations where low insertion loss and consistent multimode performance are required. The MPO12 connector format provides compact, multi-fibre connectivity for trunking and parallel optics applications in modern data centres and enterprise networks.

Advantages

This OM4 MPO cable delivers high modal bandwidth and low attenuation over short to medium distances, enabling reliable 10G, 25G, 40G and 100G parallel optic deployments where multimode fibre is specified. The MPO12 connector reduces cabling density compared with multiple LC connectors and simplifies rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections. The 3-metre length balances reach and cable management in patching aisles and equipment rooms.

Suitable for

• Data centre trunking and spine-to-leaf connections
• Connecting MPO-enabled switches, routers and transceivers
• Parallel optics links for 40G and 100G modules
• High-density patch panels and optical distribution frames
• Short to medium reach multimode interconnects within racks and between adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: MPO12 (multi-fibre MPO)
• Length: 3 metres
• Applications: Multimode high-speed parallel optics and trunking
• Typical use environment: Data centres and enterprise network rooms

How to use

Route the 3 m MPO cable between MPO-equipped devices or MPO ports on patch panels, taking care to maintain minimum bend radius during installation and avoiding sharp bends or tight cable ties. Ensure MPO connector keys and polarity align with transceiver or patch panel requirements before insertion. For multi-fibre modules, verify correct fibre mapping and polarity using appropriate test equipment. When not in active use, protect connectors with dust caps to prevent contamination.

Recommendations

For reliable high-speed performance, inspect and clean MPO ferrules before mating, confirm polarity and fibre mapping for parallel optic links, and use cable management features in racks and patch panels to prevent excessive strain. Choose OM4 multimode for installations requiring higher modal bandwidth and shorter-latency multimode links compared with lower-grade multimode fibres.
