BlueOptics 100G-QSFP28-AOC7M-HU-BO καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand 7 m

The BlueOptics 100G-QSFP28-AOC7M-HU-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 7 m active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 male connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed links, it supports 100GBASE-SR4 multi-mode transmission and conforms to QSFP28 MSA electrical and mechanical standards. The cable integrates transmitters and receivers in each connector to convert electrical signals to optical and back, enabling short-reach 100 Gbps connections in data center and high-performance computing environments. The aqua jacket provides clear visual identification and the 7 m length offers installation flexibility for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections.

Advantages

The cable provides a ready-to-use, factory-terminated solution for 100 Gbps short-reach links that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. Compliance with QSFP28 form-factor and 100GBASE-SR4 signaling ensures interoperability with hardware platforms that support the same AOC type. Integrated optical transmitters and receivers reduce connector count and simplify cable management while maintaining low latency and high bandwidth over a 7 m distance.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack 100 Gbps connections in data centers
• Interconnects between switches, routers and storage systems supporting QSFP28 AOC
• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand-enabled systems requiring short-reach fiber links
• Environments where compact, factory-terminated high-speed cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28 male to QSFP28 male
• Length: 7 meters
• Transmission type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated Tx and Rx
• Supported protocol: 100GBASE-SR4 multi-mode optical signaling
• Typical applications: Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, SDH/SONET at up to 100 Gbps
• Jacket color: aqua

How to use

Insert each QSFP28 connector into compatible QSFP28 ports on the devices to be linked, ensuring the connector latch engages. No additional transceivers or patching is required. Verify that both connected devices support QSFP28 AOC modules and the 100GBASE-SR4 signaling before powering active links. After connection, check link status and speed indicators on both devices and confirm proper operation through the management interface or diagnostic LEDs.

Recommendations

Use the cable in temperature-controlled data center environments and avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling force on the cable. Route the AOC to prevent kinks and maintain the recommended bend radius for multi-mode fiber. Confirm compatibility with your switch, router or storage platform documentation for supported AOC modules and firmware versions before deployment.
