BlueOptics EX-QSFP-8LC-AOC7M-BO Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand 7 m

The BlueOptics EX-QSFP-8LC-AOC7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 7 m active optical cable with male QSFP connectors on both ends. Designed for short-range, high-throughput links, it supports 40G-class multimode transmission and conforms to common QSFP form-factor MSA conventions. The integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each end convert electrical signals to optical and back, enabling reliable high-speed connections between switches, routers, storage arrays and InfiniBand-capable servers in data center and high-performance computing environments.

Advantages

The 7 m BlueOptics active optical cable provides low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity while avoiding the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. Passive handling of multimode fibre optical signals with built-in Tx/Rx electronics reduces insertion complexity and ensures consistent performance across QSFP ports. Its QSFP-to-QSFP form factor enables direct interconnects for top-of-rack or adjacent-rack cabling without intermediate modules.

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the QSFP connectors into compatible QSFP ports on the devices to be linked, ensuring proper alignment and a secure mechanical fit. No separate transceivers are required; the cable's built-in optics handle signal conversion. Verify that the connected devices support 40G QSFP AOC links and configure port settings as needed on switches or host adapters. For best results, avoid sharp bends and maintain the specified bend radius for multimode fibres.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics 7 m QSFP AOC for rack-level and adjacent-rack connections where a compact, integrated 40G solution is preferable. Confirm device compatibility with QSFP AOC links and follow standard data centre handling: avoid excessive strain, keep connectors free of dust, and store the cable coiled without tight loops when not in use.
