Alecto SB28 Πυροσβεστική κουβέρτα 120 x 180 cm

Unlike bulky extinguishers that demand training and maintenance, the Alecto SB28 fire blanket offers immediate, foolproof protection against small fires — simply pull the tabs and lay it over the flames. Sized at 120 x 180 cm, it is large enough to smother a stovetop fire or wrap around a person whose clothing has ignited. The blanket is made from tightly woven fiberglass fabric, which withstands temperatures up to 580°C and is certified to EN 1869:1997. It is particularly effective on cooking oil and fat fires (Class F), but also suitable for small Class A, B, and C fires. After use, the blanket is single-use and should be replaced. The red soft pouch is wall-mountable and features a hanging loop, keeping the blanket always within reach in kitchens, caravans, boats, workshops, or offices.

Highlights

• Large 120 x 180 cm blanket covers most stovetops and can be used as a body wrap
• Fiberglass fabric rated up to 580°C, non-toxic and non-irritant
• Certified to EN 1869:1997, suitable for Class F (cooking oil/fat) and small Class A, B, C fires
• Quick-release pull tabs for fast deployment in an emergency
• Soft red pouch with hanging loop for wall mounting, always visible and accessible
• No maintenance required; simply inspect visually from time to time

In daily use

Mount the Alecto SB28 on a kitchen wall near the stove, in a caravan, or on a boat. In case of a small fire, pull the tabs to release the blanket, hold it by the top corners to protect your hands, and carefully cover the fire completely. Turn off the heat source if possible and leave the blanket in place until everything has cooled down. The blanket is single-use: after extinguishing a fire, dispose of it and replace it with a new one. The pouch is made of soft material, so it can be stored in a drawer or mounted on a wall without damaging surfaces.
