Κουβέρτα πυρόσβεσης Alecto SB-11 100 x 100 cm fiberglass

The Alecto SB-11 100 x 100 cm Glass fibre fire blanket is a compact safety device designed to smother small fires by cutting off oxygen supply. Constructed from heat-resistant glass fibre fabric and supplied in a slim, wall-mountable pouch, this fire blanket is suitable for quick access in kitchens, workshops, garages and other indoor locations where small combustible fires may occur. Its 100 x 100 cm dimensions provide coverage for cookware fires and small waste or appliance fires while remaining easy to store and deploy.

Advantages

The glass fibre material offers high temperature resistance and low thermal conductivity, enabling effective smothering of flames without melting. The blanket’s size balances coverage and handling: large enough to cover pans and small appliances, yet manageable for a single user. Packaged in a pouch with clear pull tabs, the device can be removed and applied rapidly, reducing response time during an incident. The product is maintenance-free aside from occasional visual inspection to ensure the pouch and blanket are intact.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Extinguishing pan and cooking oil fires in domestic kitchens
• Suppressing small electrical or appliance fires
• Containing waste bin or paper fires in offices or workshops
• Use in garages and hobby workshops near flammable materials

Key specifications

• Material: heat-resistant glass fibre fabric
• Dimensions: approximately 100 x 100 cm
• Form: flexible blanket supplied in a wall-mountable pouch
• Weight: lightweight and easy to handle by a single person
• Intended use: for small, localised fires where smothering is appropriate

How to use

Place the pouch within easy reach in the area to be protected. When a small fire starts, pull the tabs to remove the blanket from its pouch, holding the folded blanket between your hands or overforearms to protect from heat. Carefully place or drape the blanket over the fire to fully cover the burning material, avoiding contact with flames if possible. Leave the blanket in place until the item has cooled completely and there is no risk of re-ignition. After use, the blanket should be replaced or professionally inspected before reuse.

Recommendations

Use the fire blanket only on small, contained fires suitable for smothering; do not use it on large spreading fires. For grease or oil fires, do not attempt to move the burning pan—cover it in place. If smoke or fire develops rapidly or you are unsure about safety, evacuate the area and contact emergency services immediately.
